Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actor, singer, and dancer. Her career began with Broadway career performing in musicals such as Wicked, Legally Blonde, as well as Hair. in You Can't Take It With You, she won the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in the Play. Annaleigh has been collaborating in projects with award-winning directors, actors and producers throughout her career. Ashford next will star opposite Kumail in Robert Siegel's exclusive Hulu series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford has been engaged in the production of Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust with Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. The movie will air on Disney DTC in the form of it becomes a Hulu Original. It will be released in 2023, March. Ashford will make a return appearance on Broadway and will be starring alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The team behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the control of the production. Ashford has been seen most recently in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis that saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the first impeachment proceeding in America over a Century. The two-season run she had on the CBS comedy B Positive was her first big character. In addition, she appeared on the popular series developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, with the legendary actresses Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. A veteran of Broadway Ashford has won both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her role as Essie. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde is among her other Broadway performances. Ashford splits her life between Los Angeles & New York. Her birthplace was in Denver and was raised in Denver.
