Zoe-perry
Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois to Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed the role. But her parents would not allow her to act until she turned an adult, for fear of the effects stress would affect their child. Perry claims she never wanted to perform in high school, but she decided to begin performing as a form of social interaction while at Northwestern University when she switched to it from Boston University. Perry began her career in New York after graduation, landing minor role in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry come back to California and pursue a career as a theater actress. In 2013 she performed in The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In the year 2015, she was alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was a part of nine episodes in 2016 of the ABC drama The Family. Perry was a regular character in the ABC political drama Scandal, starring her dad. She also played the younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role by auditioning for an open role despite being connected to the role.
